This hybrid training session will begin with a 3-hour introductory workshop. In the live session, participants will receive an overview of online training and the Canvas Learning Management System. Time will be spent walking through the online course modules in “Developing Non-Academic Courses in Canvas”. The goal of the session is to introduce participants to the system and course material so that they are comfortable in continuing to learn about the system after the workshop. At the conclusion of the live session, participants will have access to the online course modules and should review pages not covered in class. The live session will review and highlight commonly used areas of Canvas and best practices for online training including:  

  • Structuring an online course 

  • Layout and navigation 

  • Course settings 

  • Modules 

  • Quizzes 

  • Instructor/Student View 

  • Enrollments 

  • Help & Resources
