Counseling and Psychological Services offers a variety of workshops to assist students in developing academic skills, exploring career options and making career decisions and personal growth. Workshop Registration

To register for a workshop online, follow these steps:

  1. Click the workshop you would like to attend, and enter the requested information.
  2. You must click "submit" after you enter your information.
  3. Make sure to mark your calendar with the date and time of your workshop.
  4. If you need assistance, call Counseling and Psychological Services at 817-272-3671.
  5. Unless otherwise noted, all workshops will be held in the third floor conference room, Ransom Hall.

MAVS Talk Mindful Moments
Take a break from the stress of your day. Learn techniques to help deal with stress effectively. Most Mondays 12:15pm-12:45pm. Beginning Jan 13th. Ransom Hall Room 310. Open to all UTA campus community. Join us day of event. No Registration Required.

Strong Interest Inventory-Group Interpretation Seminar
The SII is available to students registered for classes during the current semester. Currently enrolled students may access the career assessment through Blackboard. Login to Blackboard using your Net ID and password: https://elearn.uta.edu Go to Organization Search (located on left side). Enter: Counseling and click "Go". Click on the double arrow button next to "org_CounselingCareerAssessments" and click "Enroll". Enter Access Code: CSMavericks (case-sensitive) and click "Submit". You will receive a Successful Enrollment Notification. Click "OK" on right-hand corner. Click on Career Assessment Online and follow instructions. If you need additional assistance contact Counseling and Psychological Services during business hours at 817.272.3671. Once you complete the assessment, register for a group seminar below to receive an interpretation of your results. Two business days are required between completion of assessment and seminar date. Registration Required.

Learn about emotional health and how to recognize an emotional health problem. Take a free emotional health or substance abuse screening and meet with counselor one-on-one for interpretation. Open Enrollment-Register or Join Day of Event.

Managing the Stress of the First Year-Student Success Series
Learn how to manage stressors that may occur during your first year at UTA. Registration Not Required. Wednesday, April 2nd. 12pm-1pm Preston Hall 104

QPR For Suicide Prevention
Increase awareness of the warning signs, clues and suicidal communications of people who may be considering suicide and learn how to intervene with at risk individuals.

Ally Training
Participants in Ally Training will learn about heterosexual privilege, campus and community resources, and how to be supportive to members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. At the conclusion of the training, participants have the option to display a Safe Zone symbol as a signal to the campus community, and especially LGBT individuals, that they maintain a safe and affirming environment.
