Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service is a budgeting and planning application that allows users to:

  1. Identify proposed revenues and expenditures for the upcoming fiscal year.
  2. Compare current and prior year’s operating budgets.
  3. Manage position related data such as salary, distribution allocation, and position status (filled or vacant).

Training is mandatory for new users.

This course is designed for individuals responsible for budget preparation.  In the PBCS class, users will learn how to use simple spreadsheets and web forms to capture budget data.  After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Update your settings and preferences to accurately use PBCS 
  • Use PBCS Workspace
  • View, Print and/or download a Salary Roster Report
  • Update Position data using Position Budget Forms
  • Understand changes to the fringe benefits budgeting
  • Update Intrafund Transfers using Transfer Forms  
  • Review and complete cost center budgets using Departmental Budget Forms
  • Understand the Reconciliation of Changes Worksheet

NOTE:  The PBCS class is a "Closed" enrollment class. This class is only open to individuals approved by the Budget Office. If you believe that you shoudl attend training, please submit a ServiceNow request.

This class is designed for employees responsible for reconciling the monthly Financial Statements It will provide an understanding of the new SAHARA financial module and the responsibilities of the department. In this class, participants will learn how to access the SAHARA module, how to navigate through the module, and understand the information provided in the different sections of the module. In addition, we will discuss the required support documentation and the necessary approvals for the statements.

Recommended Prerequisite: Managing Department Funds Class
Target Audience: Dept. Reconciler and Dept. Head
